Fortunately, the weather was better than forecast today and we had a bright, but chilly, day with a brisk wind.

We managed to achieve 23 launches, 8 of which were in the motor glider (G-SASF).

A small, stalwart team got the flying underway. We welcomed Mathew Settle from Halton and cadet Lauren Atkinson from Berkhamsted School. There were also four UCL members who joined us and, apart from our fantastic duty pilot, Arthur Barfield, everyone managed to fly before the airfield closed.

A huge thank you to the support team, Brian Gough, Luke Hornsey, Al McNamara, Greg Weeks, Paul Field, Mark Durden and Laurence Weeks. We even de-rigged the ASK 13 (R41) for its annual at the end of the day!

Finally, hog of the day was Mark, with 24 minutes (ably assisted by Luke).
