At Halton, the Airfield Manager, Guy Davidson, superbly read the wet airfield and, after some well-positioned dayglo surface water markers, managed to get us flying on the very wet airfield. We achieved 32 launches and 2 hours 54 minutes, with the longest flight by Bryan Harvey and Larissa of 30 minutes.

The highlights of the day were a first solo by Rhys Milford, who went on to fly a very good set of solos, and Klemens, who flew 7 flights on his conversion to the ASK 18 (R48).

A special thanks goes to Al McNamara and Bryan Harvey from instructing all day, Ethan Low for spending many hours on the winch, Gareth Allenby-Jones and Will Few for their retrieving tenacity and, last but not least, Sarah Fogden - probably the best duty pilot I have ever worked with.

Meanwhile, the expeditions members at Aboyne managed to fly today. In the aftermath of the storm, Luke Hornsey and Mark Durden managed a good, soaring flight up to around 6,000 feet.
