A lovely bright (if chilly) day.
First of all thanks to Ben King and Tony Disbrey for their unstinting work all day. Thanks also to Ollie Gentle who arrived early and sadly did not fly, and Will Few who also did not fly.
Unfortunately, the weather did not play fair so we started on Runway 20, changed to Runway 25 and finished the day on Runway 02!
Rob Sadler re-converted to the Discus CS, 506, following its refurbishment. Martin Langford and Bryan Harvey trialled the ‘crossing the glass wall’ procedure - there is more on that to come.
4 UCL students flew in the SF-25c and a trial flight flew 1 winch launch before the ASK 21, R28, iced up, so then had a quick trip in the SF-25c.
Humza Hamid had to manage a couple of questionable students (Full Cats Al McNamara and Phil Mackenzie!) but has now completed all his instructor training and is ready for a test with our newest regional examiner, Martin Langford.
Thanks to all who worked hard to make it a good day with a total of 27 flights.
